A Living Street Scene
The entire homepage is a fully illustrated scene built from the Chocolade Fabriek logo. The chocolate factory sits at the center with its brick facade and tall chimney, flanked by colorful buildings. This is not a static illustration. The factory doors open and close based on actual opening hours. People line up outside when the store is open, walk in, and walk back out carrying bags of chocolate. Birds fly across the sky throughout the day. Navigation happens through street signs on the lamppost, and clicking buildings leads to different pages. Visit the demo and use the control buttons to see every state without waiting.
Real-Time Day and Night
The scene follows a real-time day and night cycle. During the day, the sky is blue with clouds drifting by. At night, everything transforms: the sky turns dark, stars appear, and warm light glows from every window. The factory chimney still smokes against the night sky. It is the same scene, but it feels completely different. The control buttons in the demo let you toggle between day and night instantly so you can see the full transformation.
